"A fixed SGD800 fee feels risky if my centre is still small."
The support fee is waived for your first 6 months, so you have time to build up enrolment before it kicks in. After that, it's higher per student early on — around SGD20 at 40 students — but it never climbs as you grow, unlike a percentage royalty. Most partners plan their first-year budget around the fixed fee plus rent, marketing and instructor costs, so it's a known number from day one rather than a moving target.
"What stops another Metorion centre opening near mine?"
Territory terms are set out in the franchise and licence agreement and vary by market. Ask about the specific protection for your area during your partnership consultation before you sign anything.
"I don't have a robotics or engineering background — can I actually run this?"
Previous robotics or coding experience is helpful but not required. Curriculum orientation, instructor training and centre operating processes are part of the onboarding support, since Metorion is built for education operators first.
"What if the curriculum goes stale in a couple of years?"
That's on Metorion HQ, not you. Continuing to improve the curriculum and systems is part of the partnership philosophy — partners are meant to focus on local execution while HQ keeps the programme current.
"With the subscription model, do I just end up paying more later anyway?"
You will move to the standard SGD800 fixed fee after 24 months — but the subscription path exists precisely so you can test local demand and build cash flow before committing to the fuller franchise and licence package. It's a lower-risk way in, not a way to avoid the eventual cost structure.
"How do I know there's enough demand for robotics and coding classes in my area?"
